The little town of Meaford is located between Owen Sound and Collingwood along the beautiful blue Georgian Bay. This quite city known for it's fishing, it's marina and it's ability to be completely tranquil has a small but wonderful number of getaway weddings on it's private cottage properties and in it's parks. Weddings in the area are often held in the neighbouring cities, but the harbour is often used as a location for pictures as it is easy to access, and has a wonderful selection of different angles and vantage points to be able to create stunning portraits of the married couple. We as photographers can choose where to take our clients and in this case we used the waterfront spot surrounded by sail boats and a giant break wall. Along those large break wall rocks we can take our clients along for a wide landscape style image of the two of them or walk them along the floating dock inside the protected waters of the marina. In this photo we have chosen to frame our couple through the mast of a sailboat in order to bring some foreground elements into the picture. This isolates our two love birds in a spot in the image known as the rule of thirds. We love how this turned out and we love being Meaford Wedding Photographers.
