Once the sun has gone down on a wedding day the opportunities for us as photographers goes through the roof. If we are willing to be creative and the bride and groom find stunning wedding portraits important enough we will take them out of the reception for a time and use our own lighting that we bring whether it be flashes, lower id light, gun light, ice light, stella pro 5000, along with MagMod modifiers to create interesting and compelling images. Sometimes we will rim light with a flash and use the ice light on the face, sometimes we will gel the flash to give colour to an otherwise uninteresting wall. We can shoot through or along different items to give depth to the image. We work with the posing of our couple to invoke a level of style and class so the images look like they came out of a magazine through the style and high fashion feel of the posing combined with the edgy lighting. Whether we use it to show the romance of the newly married couple or the serenity of the end of the wedding day, these few moments away from the reception are treasured by our clients. We have taken these pictures at the Fairmont Royal York, Palais Royale, downtown Toronto, Lakeshore, Ritz Carlton, High Park and many other spots throughout the city.
