Tucked away as a hidden gem in Ontario is the small town on the shores of Georgian Bay called Owen Sound. In this little town is tucked away another gem called Inglis Falls. This beautiful former mill turned tourist attraction offers stunning views of the surrounding area up on top of the falls but the real beauty comes when you get your hiking boots on and head down the trail to the bottom of the falls. Though the journey takes a bit of commitment, once you get to the bottom you are presented with beautiful mini waterfalls all throughout the crumbling large rocks of the Niagara Escarpment. These huge limestone pieces have created a garden of possibilities photographically and if you have a look through our portfolio you will see many examples of brides and grooms at the bottom of Inglis Falls. We love to create interesting and unique angles of pictures incorporating the moving water with our couples. We will do what is called dragging the shutter or choosing a shutter speed that is slow in order for the water to move in the image and make it look like it is still moving even in a still image. As photographers in Owen Sound, Inglis falls has become a draw for people from far and wide to capture unique wedding and engagement photos which people who have their photos taken in bigger cities don’t have the opportunity to do.
