Although everyone that experiences the variety of seasons and weather in Southern Ontario says this, Fall is by far my favourite time of year. When it comes to shooting weddings, the photo opportunities that come with this time of year are awesome in every way, that is, if the forecast cooperates with us. When a bride and groom choose to have their big day during the Autumn months, mother nature is a risk that they are willing to take. However, if they are able to pull it off, it truly is the most gorgeous time of year to say I do.
The Toronto area always provides lovely colour, especially in the months of September and October. The bright pigments of orange, yellow, and red on the trees seems almost fake in some places. This photo was shot during the early weeks of the changes, but I was still able to capture the shades of gold in the trees and the crisp leaves on the ground. I wanted to portray the newlyweds enjoying a nature walk along the colourful path, which the bride's dress stands out perfectly on. Although the day was overcast, this couple was lucky to miss out on the rain and give us the chance to get some great Autumn wedding photos.
