The Blue Manolo Blahnik wedding shoe was popularized by the T.V. show Sex in the City when Carey gets married in New York and this wonderful shoe was her something blue, something new and something fantastic. We had the privilege to photograph these shoes during a luxury wedding and here is one of our favourite images. We used the uniform colour of the chair on which we placed the shoes to contrast against the bright and saturated blue tone of the shoes. We placed on up against the other as a compositional element framed within the viewfinder of our camera. The bride may have had another pair of more comfortable shoes for the reception but she was so pleased to have these as her main wedding shoes.
