Pre-wedding photos in underwater caves in Canada
Pre-Wedding Photos in a Cave
Cyprus Lake near Tobermory is home to a beautiful piece of landscape called The Grotto. The rock formations along the niagara escarpment hold many beauties including flowerpot island and glacier moraines. This portion includes a grotto which tunnels under the rock and from it, light shines through the water into a cave. Such was the setting for the engagement shoot for Scotty & Jordyn. We came armed with an underwater housing for our camera and positioned them across the water so we could see the beautiful landscape of the Grotto. The blue water, the deep cave and the unique feature of this cave makes for a beautiful photograph. When we are shooting in such fantastic locations we encourage our couples to be adventurous as sometimes like in this case it takes effort to get to the location where they need to be photographed. Scotty carried Jordyn over an area he needed to walk through chest deep with water. The result of which was a wonderful photo which now hangs on their wall framed and above their living room couch for all to see as they enter their home. These couplescape shoots often happen pre-wedding though they don't need to. We love to plan them with something amazing in mind and endeavour to create something that hasn't been done before with wedding photography. We are often combining landscape photography with wedding and engagement photos to fuse a look which we call Epic Couplescapes. Location: Cyprus Lake, ON.
