Hamilton Wedding Photography | Josh & Jane

We recently shot the wedding of Josh and Jane, and I have to say, out of all the couples that we’ve worked for in our careers, these guys, hands down, were the happiest and win the award for Most Smiling Bride And Groom! It made me think of the song by NewSong, “”The Way You Smile”:

There’s something about the way you smile
I can see forever in your eyes
Telling me I’m yours and you are mine
The way that you smile
We’re like two lovers in sweet romance
You’re my leading lady and I’m your man
You can say I love you in just one glance
The way you smile

Our day of shooting started at the Sheraton Hamilton with Josh and his groomsmen as he got ready for his big day, and Jane at home with her family and attendants. The Cotton Factory in Hamilton, a refurbished factory, was the unique setting for the ceremony. A prop-house supplied a variety of different chairs for guests to sit on. (You’ll see that with the bridal couple in one of our featured shots below.) The factory was a great backdrop for this gorgeous bridal couple. Jane was stunning in her Alfred Sung gown, purchased at Heirlooms Bridal in Dundas, Ontario, carrying flowers by iFiori from Hamilton.

Later, the lush greens of Copetown Woods Golf and Country Club provided the setting for the formal shots. It was so obvious how close Josh and Jane were with their wedding party. They were so thrilled to all be together celebrating (rumour has it that these friends may or may not also have been involved in celebrating the engagement…with fireworks and champagne!). It was so much fun working with a couple who truly loved being photographed.

Josh and Jane met while working for CityKidz, an inner-city Christian ministry that meets needs and helps these kids realize their full potential. In fact, these kids were a part of the wedding, as the same group of kids that Jane has been involved with for a few years were invited to the ceremony and the “mini-reception” afterward that featured every kids’ favourite dessert – cupcakes! The big hearts of this couple also led them to feature kids’ pictures on the reception tables.

Can’t you just see the joy that is beaming from Josh and Jane in the pictures below? Put on your sunglasses, because these pearly whites are blinding!
